FAQs
Do you offer sessions in person?
Currently, all of my sessions are held virtually over video using a HIPAA-compliant software. I do require patients to be on camera during sessions , both for safety and compliance reasons, but also to make sure you are receiving the full benefit of therapy. A lot is lost in translation when I can't see you!
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, I am in network with many insurance providers. Please reach out to learn whether I accept your insurance. If I do not, I can also see you through a private-pay option, which ranges from $175 to $ 250 per 50-minute session. I can provide you with a bill to see if your insurance company will reimburse you for any of the cost.
Do you prescribe medication?
No, I am a clinical psychologist, which means I only provide therapy services. I am happy to make a referral to a psychiatrist and often work closely with medication providers to help tailor your treatment.
Can I bring my partner or a family member to my session?
I prefer that our first session be alone so that I can get to know you and assess your needs. Once we start treatment, we will design a plan that may include bringing a support person to a session if needed, and we can discuss this together. The exception is if you are scheduling couples or family therapy with me, which we will determine before the first session. Reach out and schedule a 15-minute consultation call if you have more questions about this.
